It was development the state's IOM for 2015, composed by 60 sectors, made compatible to 12 sectors. Through the 2015 sugar-energectic sector's IOM, it was verified that MS has two key sectors: Other Agriculture and Other Manufacturing Industry, sectors that were above the average of the state economy. In the backward linkage, the Agro-industry sector stands out, while in the sugar-energetic sector the highlight is the production of sugar and ethanol. It can be inferred that the sector is focused on the activities inherent to its production chain. The forward indicators, on the other hand, highlight Trade and Other Services, sectors that are demanded by the sugar-energetic sector. Regarding the job multiplier, it was identified that the activity is an relevant job generator, whose emphasis relies on the sugar production activity, which is the largest job generator when compared to the other sectors. As for remuneration, because of the shock of the economy, an increase is observed in all sectors, sugar production again stands out, both in direct, indirect, induced remuneration and in the grand total.
