To identify the prevalence of the main adverse events after immunization against COVID-19 in adults in the last two years. This is a scope review, with visibility in the screening of adverse reactions occurring after immunization against SARS-CoV-2. The studies counted were published between 2021 and 2023, having as perspective the same theme of the present study and indexed in the data platforms Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) and Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde Brasil (BVS). A search was performed with the descriptors: COVID-19, vaccine, adverse events and adults, combined with the Boolean AND operator. In general, 36 articles were contained to focus this review, they were within the previously established inclusion criteria and with themes relevant to the study. It was seen that the highest incidence of reports was referred by women, in addition to the AstraZeneca immunization having been mentioned with the highest number of reports of adverse reactions. The most frequent reactions identified were of a mild nature, being local and systemic, such as: fatigue, fever, headache, vaccine application site reactions, such as hyperemia, pain, syncope, chest pain, mild allergic reactions, hives. In this conjunction, the results obtained corroborate the strengthening of vaccination campaigns, because it results from more security and conviction for professionals to clarify and encourage immunization.
