Infections related to health care refer to infections acquired by the patient during hospitalization or even after discharge, as long as they are related to hospitalization. These infections mainly affect patients prone to infections who are hospitalized in the intensive care unit and can be caused by different types of microorganisms, including fungi. In this sense, it is important to understand the perspective of nurses in the context of nosocomial Candida infections. The objective is to analyze the perspective of nursing on nosocomial Candida infections in the ICU. The search for studies was carried out in the NCBI/PubMed (National Center for BiotechnologyInformation), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Lirary Online), Academic Google and Lilacs - Bireme (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Sciences) databases. Health). To delimit the contents, inclusion criteria were used: articles available in full, in Portuguese and English, from 2014 to 2021 with free access and that were relevant to the theme. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 14 articles were selected to be analyzed in this review article. In these studies, it was observed that over the last few years, there has been an increase in nosocomial fungal infections, especially Candida species, and these infections have a high mortality rate and must be notified and monitored, especially when the resistant Candida species appears. auris. It is concluded that the nurse is fundamental for the prevention of health-related infections in ICUs through the correct performance of procedures, as well as a thorough and technical monitoring aimed at protecting the patient and the health team.
