Man in the course of his natural evolution and consequent increase in the use of various materials has been incisively contributing to the increasing process of atmospheric degradation, through contributions of gaseous effluent emissions. The main objective of this study was to simulate the emissions of atmospheric pollutant Nitrogen Oxide (NOX) emitted by diesel engines in a given area of influence in the city of Belém. The study areas are located in the city of Belém- Pa, in the south-central portion of the municipality, where the large commercial enterprises are the object of study of this research. The selection of sources of air pollutants for the study was based on actual data from stationary diesel-powered engines installed in 05 (five) commercial enterprises in the city of Belém. The software used for modeling was Screen View 4.0. Regarding NO2, emissions exceeded the values established by CONAMA, 1990, because the energy park of source 3 has its emissions of triple pollutants, due to their physical characteristics, contributing to the cumulative emissions from other sources. surrounding sources, mainly NO2 emissions, which had their limits exceeded when the venture's energy park was operating. However, in the long run, emissions coupled with releases of pollutants from mobile sources can contribute to altering and degrading vegetation and sensitive ecosystems. From the perceptions obtained in the research, the role of monitoring emissions should not only be the obligation of the state, but of all society, because the attribute under study is very common and must be preserved.
