Ergonomic problems associated with nursing professionals

This article aims to address issues about ergonomic problems that affect health professionals, specifically nurses. It aims to understand the reasons that lead nurses to acquire such problems, how they could be avoided and how these professionals live when a chronic case of all musculoskeletal pain is noticed. It is justified by researching ergonomic problems and their risks to the health of professionals and how this understanding can add to the improvement of their quality of life and assistance. This is an integrative literature review study, qualitative and exploratory in nature, with a theoretical approach. The research brings as results information regarding the pains most felt by health professionals, the most affected class among the nursing profession, the environments and work areas more likely to develop ergonomic problems and how to prevent and take care of pains related to work activity.
