: Agriculture has been changed in recent years, playing an important role in creating jobs in rural areas and also in obtaining food for the population. On the other hand, it ends up causing several impacts to the environment, mainly when it ends up invading Permanent Preservation Areas (APP). The aim of the present study is to compare the tree strata of FED and FOM forest fragments in APP of dairy properties, in different stages of preservation. The floristic survey of the APP was carried out, where the parceling was made in 100 m2 quadrants, 10 m apart, for a better representation of the fragment of the selected properties, called Property I (PI), Property II (PII), Property III (PIII) and Property IV (PIV). The measure of the circumference at breast height (CAP) and the height were collected from the tree individuals who had a circumference of at least 15 cm, these being identified in loco or after the field. The parameters frequency, dominance, absolute and relative densities, Value of Importance Index (IVI) were also evaluated, in addition to the estimate of diversity using the Shannon Index (H) and Pielou's equability (J'). In the areas PI, PII, PIII and PIV, 21, 41, 20 and 35 species and 11, 21, 10 and 22 botanical families were identified, respectively, while the value of the Shannon Index and Pielou's equability was 1,74 nats.ind-1 and 0.57 for PI, 3.13 nats.ind-1 and 0.84 for PII, 2.68 nats.ind-1 and 0.89 for PIII and 3.15 nats.ind- 1 and 0.88 for PIV. Thus, the PIII can be considered the one with the least conservation and the PIV the one with the highest estimated diversity. For the areas that have the greatest access to cattle on the properties, the lowest values of diversity and species richness were estimated, and the properties with the most preserved APP also obtained higher values.
