This article evaluated the aspects of social and economic sustainability of extractive and managed collection of bacuri fruit and agricultural practices carried out by small producers and collectors in the Mesoregion Marajó. The research was carried out in the municipalities of Soure, Salvaterra, Cachoeira do Arari and Ponta de Pedras. The methodological procedures were based on a quali-quantitative analysis. Semi-structured questionnaires were applied to 52 small producers and collectors of bacuri. The results show that 32 (61.5%), 28 (53.8%) and 22 (42.3%) small producers carry out the cultivation and sale of cassava, açaí and pineapple, respectively. These are the crops commonly traded by most interviewees during the period that bacurizeiros are not in the harvest period. Regarding the level of satisfaction regarding the sale of bacuri fruits, 14 small producers declared that the sale was unsatisfactory (27.0%), 11 stated that it was reasonably satisfactory (21.1%), and 27 considered the sale very satisfactory, representing 51.9% of the interviews. Therefore, the informants have agro-extractivist systems present in their productive activities, and the aspects of social and economic sustainability of the productive and commercial dynamics of the bacuri fruit demonstrate the importance of this culture in the financial complementation of the small producers interviewed, as most of them have the perception that the sale of this extractive product generates economic return, which can be enhanced through management.
