Abstract

Homeopathic medicines are drugs with a lower dosage of active principle and that aim at a positive response of the body, within the treatment of depression this type of treatment is consolidated with positive results in terms of safety and efficacy, on the other hand, pandemic brought a disease that had no medicine and there was a need for further research to be able to trace a type of treatment, homeopathy appears as an effective and safe method only in a complementary character, needing more studies on its performance. To analyze the relevance and possibility of applying homeopathy for treatment in Covid-19 and depression, and the perception of application in the patient's clinical case. Integrative literature review supported by the following databases NCBI/PubMed (National Center for BiotechnologyInformation), SciELO (Scientific Electronic Lirary Online), Academic Google and Lilacs - Bireme (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Sciences of the Health). To delimit the contents, inclusion criteria were used: articles available in full, in Portuguese and English, from 2014 to 2021 with free access and that were relevant to the theme. In the ten articles analyzed, homeopathy is characterized as an alternative treatment for Covid-19 and depression, as it provides safety and efficacy for use together with the main treatment. Homeopathy is one of the forms of treatment that applies to both psychological and physical illnesses, as it provides the human body with immunological strengthening, and can be applied both in depression and in Covid-19, as long as there is a personalized and detailed assessment on dosage and type of medication suitable for each situation.
