Water resources are available in different forms and locations on planet Earth, one of which is underground. These Waters are called the groundwater and are located among rocks below the surface level, which can be classified as fractured, porous or karstic aquifers. In Brazil, the water harvesting is made, among other ways, through underground water wells, which are registred in the Brazilian Underground Water Information System. In this context, the online platform was used to survey all harvesting points to the region of Triângulo Mineiro, except for those wells that were drilled and are used clandestinely (without registration in the state regulatory apparatus). Seeking to characterize the constructive and hydrodynamic aspects of the region, analyzes and discussions were carried out on the distribution of such parameters throughout the territory of Minas Gerais, resulting in estimates of total power and energy for the entire regions, average costs of underground wells implementation and its carbon dioxide emissions. The study shows that the use of diesel pumps for the studied wells, implies in 37% more atmospheric air pollution and elevate the anual costs in 141% when compared to electric pumps.
