Conservation units are constantly threatened by human action, especially in the search for natural resources for use in society or in commercial and industrial enterprises. The lack of calculation methodology in the State of Maranhão for valuing the environmental services provided by the state conservation units justified the project, especially for projects in the sector of installation and operation of telecommunication antennas, as they generate a great environmental impact on conserved areas. Thus, the general objective of this article is to suggest a form of calculation so that Maranhão can generate payment for environmental services in compensation for the impact generated on the regional Conservation Units-UC's, since the State of Maranhão does not have a mathematical format for application. As a specific objective, this study aims to evaluate and indicate, in whole or in part, through bibliographic and documentary research, the methodologies contained in Ordinance No. 30/2009-IEF of Minas Gerais and State Decree No. 43.946 / 2012 of Rio de Janeiro, and also a methodology specific to Maranhão for defining the amount to be paid for the environmental services offered by its UC's, in the installation of telecommunications structures. Soon, the environmental attributes already used by the States of Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro will be evaluated.
