With globalization, communication has become faster and broader, breaking the boundaries of geographic space. The internet, one of the means that facilitated this advance in communication, and one of the most used instruments for this purpose are social networks. In this context, the present work focused on the use of WhatsApp in the Judiciary from an environmental perspective. The objective of this research was to discuss the use of Whatsapp for court subpoenas, emphasizing sustainability in public administration. For that, qualitative research was used, which is more relevant to social issues, as well as bibliographical research in articles, theses, news and legislation related to the subject. A questionnaire was also carried out with all the Justice Officers of the Pesqueira-PE Forum, in order to observe their environmental perception regarding the sustainability of the use of WhatsApp in the fulfillment of the warrants. The relevance of this work was due to the fact that it is pertinent for Brazilian justice to align itself with the new communication technologies in force in its favor and my environment, causing an impact not only on the speed of the processes, but mainly with regard to the reduction of inputs, such as the paper, from the felling of trees; and the use of fossil fuels, which cause global warming by releasing greenhouse gases. It was found that all Bailiffs have organizational environmental perception and observed that with the use of WhatsApp for subpoenas, there was a reduction in paper and fuel. This exchange of the action of delivering the warrants via WhatsApp was even more consolidated during the Covid-19 Pandemic, especially when face-to-face contact was not recommended. This sustainable trend follows a global line, which aims to increase sustainability in the labor sector, thus contributing to a better quality of life on the Planet. It is suggested for further studies the use of other virtual technologies within the scope of Justice with a view to environmental sustainability.
