This study approaches the perspective of religiosity at work, aiming to verify its influence on the individual's performance in organization, with emphasis on work performance, relationships, leadership and career. We studied 784 individuals with ties in organizations from different areas in the metropolitan region of Recife. An instrument covering demographic data, occupation, professional life, leadership and religiosity was applied. Once collected the data, statistical methods were used for analysis, which allowed the creation of indicators of religiosity, leadership and professional success. The core component of Religiosity is 'Beliefs 2', a condition independent of Success, along with education, work experience, and amount of work. The relationship between 'Beliefs 2' and professional life is mediated by education, having a stronger association among those with less education. 'Beliefs 2' is positively associated with Goal, Relationship, Satisfaction, and Leadership indicators, but negatively associated with job and income level progression. Religiosity influences the activities of individuals with less education, having a positive association with relationships, satisfaction, leadership and achievement of goals, but hinders the progression of position and income. In those with a medium or higher level, other factors become fundamental, promoting salary and job progression. Individuals who have greater religiosity are more satisfied with the position held, salary received and relationships in the organization. We highlight the absence of literature, particularly in Brazil, where studies like this are important, given the existing syncretism and the need to consider differences in the organizational context.
