The environmental analysis of springs is understood as a method to verify the quality of the environment in its surroundings, and possible impacts on water quality and its viability for human consumption. Thus, the study aimed to analyze nine springs located in the rural area of the municipality of Cunha Porã/SC (Brazil), used for human supply. For this reason, the macroscopic environmental evaluation was used in conjuction with the analysis of physical-chemical and microbiological parameters of water quality: pH, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, dissolved oxygen, 2,4-D, glyphosate, atrazine, turbidity, temperature, electrical conductivity, total coliforms and Escherichia coli. It was verified the non-compliance with the legislation in force regarding the Permanent Preservation Areas and possible associated environmental impacts. The water from the springs were not potable, due to the presence of 2,4-D and Atrazine higher than the limit for potability, as well as the positivity of Escherichia coli in 100% of the samples. There is a potential health risk to the population that uses water from these sources.
