Environmental management in fuel station companies

This study analyzes the perception of environmental management at fuel resale stations in view of the possible impacts that the exploitation of this business can cause to the environment. The methodology used comprises exploratory research, with data collection from a bibliographical survey, which substantiated a quantitative approach, using the Likert research technique, consisting of a questionnaire with fifteen statements related to the implementation of the environmental management system applied in ten gas stations located in the urban area of the satellite city Planaltina - Federal District. The study made it possible to identify that although the gas stations surveyed claim to have knowledge about environmental management, some of them still need to improve their operations, aligning them with the environmental management system, to eliminate or mitigate environmental damage to the environment or the environment. adjacent population and the risks to occupational health and work safety carried out by employees who work in this field of activity at fuel retail stations.
