The current study aims to analyze the water resources of the city of Campina Grande - PB, using the indicators of SDG 6 as an analysis tool. For the materialization of this work, the goals and their respective indicators are adapted at the municipal level and were based on the information provided by the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM) through the document “Guide for Locating Sustainable Development Goals in Brazilian Municipalities”. The 9 (nine) indicators selected for analysis of the water resources of Campina Grande - PB, based on SDG 6, were subdivided into three groups: water supply, sanitary sewage and water resources management. Urban water resources in the municipality of Campina Grande-PB presented concerns, especially considering recurrent extreme events such as drought, or isolated events such as the new corona virus pandemic. With regard to water supply, the data showed a good situation, considering the total number of services in urban and rural areas and the volume per capita. Sanitary sewage showed certain deficiencies that indicate the diversion of part of the collected sewage to untreated water bodies or even theft for irrigation on farms. The municipality is positioned to face the challenge of the 2030 Agenda with demands in all the analyzed points, but that can be remedied through diagnosis, monitoring and effective action of the government, civil society and other users of water resources.
