The objective of this work was to analyze the level of sustainability of 3 properties located in the south of Minas Gerais, whose main activity is dairy cattle and using the Indicator of Sustainability in Agroecosystems (ISA). The ISA is made up of 21 indicators, which were grouped into seven sub-indices, involving socioeconomic and environmental dimensions. These seven sub-indices are divided into: Economic Balance, Social Balance, Rural Establishment Management, Soil Productive Capacity, Water Quality, Management of production systems and Ecology of the Agricultural Landscape. The ISA questionnaire was applied in 2021. The ISA of property 1 reached 0.73 and exceeded the sustainability threshold (0.70), with a socioeconomic balance (0.83) and an environmental balance of (0.67). Property 2 reached the highest ISA (0.76), of the 03 evaluated, with the highest socioeconomic balance (0.87) and the highest environmental balance (0.68). Property 3 had the lowest ISA value, 0.62, with the lowest socioeconomic balance among the three evaluated (0.72) and the environmental balance (0.54), below the sustainability threshold. Using the ISA made it possible to observe the different sustainability parameters of the properties, identifying critical points that need to be changed. From this, it is possible to guide and determine actions that can improve the situation of the properties.
