The quality of water resources is a primary concern for researchers, as the environmental impacts caused by the accelerated and disorderly growth of cities make the degradation of these resources intense and quickly noticeable, even in the extreme north of the Amazon. In this context, the aim of this study was to evaluate the susceptibility profile of bacteria isolated from the Rio Branco microbasin, Roraima, in the far north of the Amazon. The susceptibility profile of the bacterial isolates was carried out using eight antibacterial discs and in the identification of the isolates the Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization method – Time of Flight Mass Spectroscopy (MALDI-TOF/MS) was used. The results obtained showed a significant difference between the dry and rainy periods in relation to the physical-chemical and microbiological quality of the water in the different points collected in the Rio Branco microbasin, RR. Of the total analyzed isolates, only 31% of the bacteria showed resistance to the antibacterials amikacin, amoxicillin, azithromycin and ciprofloxacin, showing that the antibacterials chloraphenicol, gentamicin, imipenem and meropenem showed 100% efficiency on the isolates. The species Klebsiella pneumoniae, Chromobacterium violaceum, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter kobei, Bacillus pumilus, Salmonella typhi and Staphylococcus sp. in both periods (dry and rainy) of collections evaluated, the presence of bacteria considered potentially pathogenic, such as Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus sp., Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi and Shigella sp. that aim to identify and evaluate the susceptibility profile of bacteria present in other rivers and streams in the state of Roraima.
