In a context of economic crisis, high unemployment rates, many professionals graduating annually, and an increasingly demanding and dynamic job market, the professional insertion of recently graduated individuals with a degree in Business Administration becomes a challenging activity. In this sense, the present research aims to understand how the Bachelor's degree course in Administration at the University of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN) contributes to the professional insertion of its graduates. To achieve this, a descriptive and explanatory quantitative research was conducted with 64 former students who graduated from the course in the semesters 2017-2 and 2018-2. Among the main results, it was found that after graduation, there was an increase in the number of graduates who found jobs in their professional field, as well as a growth in their monthly income. The research also allowed identifying elements that influence the process of professional insertion of the graduates from the Administration course at UERN, such as mandatory and non-mandatory internships, extracurricular activities (teaching, research, and extension), the network of relationships built throughout the course among students, institutions, and companies, and the reputation of the educational institution. The research showed that the Administration course fulfills its role in effectively preparing its students, promoting a positive transformation in the financial, economic, and social situation of individuals.
