The use of pesticides has become very common around the world, as agricultural production has to meet food demands. Regardless of how much is used, pesticides change the composition of that environment and generate short and long term damage that can contaminate soil, water, and even cause a series of diseases or death to humans when it comes in contact with fertilizer. . The objective is to analyze the pesticides in pineapple cultivation that can cause damage to health and environment, in order to improve their handling so that it is less harmful. This analysis was carried out through field visits to two properties with pineapple cultivation, determining which pesticides were used, the amount applied, the application interval, if the worker presented any disease and their level of toxicity and environmental hazard. The properties visited use highly hazardous products, banned in many countries and without any protection from their workers. It is important to have incentives for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), training for rural workers, and firstly, preference for the use of other methods that may be practiced before the use of pesticides.
