Contributions of Motivation in the workplace to human and professional development: a study in a telecommunications company

Motivation is an individual process that varies from person to person and that has a strong influence on the individual's conduct and behavior at work. With this, companies constantly need to make an investment in this process, so that employees are satisfied and gradually can produce so that the desired objectives of the organization are executed. In this sense, this study addresses the theme motivation related to the contribution to human and professional development and seeks to understand how motivation can be a positive factor for the expectations of professional growth of employees who work as an assistant in the telecommunications company to be realized. Thus, through the motivational theories of Human Needs (Maslow), Theory of Two Factors (Herzberg) and Theory X and Y (Mc Gregor) the theoretical basis was developed. With this, the research is characterized as exploratory and descriptive, in which it has the purpose of describing, analyzing, and interpreting the phenomenon studied. Thus, according to the study conducted, the results found that the company and managers are positively executing the process of motivation with employees, however, it was possible to find some objections regarding a motivational aspect related to the offer of promotion opportunities and career plan.
