Rainwater drainage significantly contributes to improving the quality of life of the population who living in the benefited region, reducing flooding, transporting the collected water to the appropriate natural water courses and even reducing the risk of contamination from many waterborne diseases. With this in mind, the objective of this job was to prospect a dimensioning of sustainable techniques of surface runoff, for the Mansões Paraíso area, Gama/DF. The dimensioning was done by the rational method to Detention Basin, while to the Infiltration Trenches it was used Philip's One-Dimensional Horizontal Model obtaining precipitated volumes of 12.1m³, 13.2m³, 2.4m³ and 9m³ for Trenches 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively. It was possible yet determining the dimensions of four Infiltration Trenches, being, 1,175x1,15x20,0m³; 1,25x1,20x20m³; 1,10x1,00x5,00m³ e 1,00x1,00x20m³ for Trenches 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively. For the Detention Basin, a device of approximately 122m³ was obtained, with dimensions of 5,00x2,00x,12,20m³. Such projections were based on studies carried out in soils with similar characteristics to the study area one. With these design proposals, it could be concluded that the design was carried out in a profitable way, even with imprecise information about the physical characteristics of the soil, since the focus of this case study was not, in fact, to carry out tests on the soil of the study area. Thus, the sizing proposals can contribute to the improvement of the region, minimizing flooding in rainy periods and maximizing the quality of the study area, allowing, for example, making the area viable for possible regularization.
