Abstract

To analyze the new trends attributed to the concept of administrative discretion implemented in the management of Public Universities. This is a theoretical essay based on scientific production on administrative discretion. It was evident that the most widespread term is related to administrative discretion with the autonomy given by the Constituent Assembly to Public Universities in the face of the daily demands of managers. The new trends, in practice, are related to the greater intervention of the Judiciary in the autonomy of Universities. There is a need for spaces for discussion so that the theme is disseminated and better understood by public agents and the academic community.
