Telework: what is necessary to research about the topic

This study presents to the academic community the main national research suggestions regarding the teleworking model from the perspective of organizational innovation, thus intending to expand the frontier of knowledge related to the theme. The qualitative research approach was chosen in view of the interest of identifying, examining and interpreting the textual data collected on the papers. Eleven papers were analyzed, from which proposals for new studies about telework were extracted as an alternative to the traditional structures of organizations. There was a need to evolve research on the negative effects of teleworking, especially from the psychological and social point of view of teleworkers. In the end, it is recommended the search for the elaboration of sustainable models that can be copied as a way to take a step forward in good organizational practices related to teleworking, mainly due to the Covid-19 pandemic driving the use of this organizational innovation.
