The work has occupied much of the time in people's lives, while generating income and possibilities for personal fulfillment is a source of conflicts and diseases, in this context, research related to Quality of Life at Work (QWL), have become important in organizational studies. Thus, in order to contribute to the treatment of this issue, this work aims to diagnose the quality of work life of the effective technical servers of a campus of a public university in the state of Paraíba using Walton's model. A qualitative approach was used through semi-structured interviews, enabling the discussion of possible forms of intervention and analysis of the institution's QLW conditions and actions. Twelve (12) permanent and active servers on campus participated in the research. The data revealed that, in general, the QLW level of the technical workers, based on the model used, has very diversified aspects. Therefore, we found very relevant and positive satisfaction indexes, such as: security, stability at work, freedom and privacy. However, indicators such as: infrastructure, training, autonomy, compensation and appreciation of the server directly revealed a considerable index of dissatisfaction, indicating the need for greater attention and investment by the institution.
