This study explores the relationship between the sociodemographic profile of institutionalized elderly and the need for physiotherapy intervention. With the aging of the population and the consequent increase in the need for long-term care for the elderly, physiotherapy has become an issue of increasing importance. However, the effectiveness of physiotherapy can be influenced by a variety of factors, including the elderly's sociodemographic profile. This study aims to fill the gap in existing knowledge, providing insights into how the sociodemographic characteristics of institutionalized elderly affect their physiotherapy needs. The results of this study can inform more effective and personalized intervention strategies, thereby improving the quality of life and well-being of institutionalized elderly.
