This study seeks to present the importance that modern information management tools have in contributing to the quality of services in the public sector. In this sense, the role of the university stands out, providing research that is part of scientific production on information quality management techniques, with the possibility of practical application, as mechanisms capable of contributing to the improvement of public management. The methodology used was descriptive research, using multi-case study as a procedure, using primary data obtained from the municipalities' financial statements, and the approach to the problem was quantitative. The study revealed that in the last year of the mandate, several indicators (Budgetary, Financial and Patrimonial) had greater variation, that is, they increased in relation. Delving deeper into the health context, the partnership between municipal management and Universities, public and private, has the potential to transform health services. Through the pillar, teaching, research and extension, the established contributions can leverage health management, through applied research, which can be directly put into practice in improving health services, whether in the development of new treatments, prevention practices or even administrative approaches; In clinical training, in the presence of medical students and other health areas in internships and residencies in municipal hospitals and clinics that can enrich the quality of care, bringing new learning and constant updates; In technology and innovation, where Universities often have access to cutting-edge technologies and can introduce new equipment and techniques into the municipality's clinics and hospitals; In extension programs that offer free or low-cost care to communities, which can relieve municipal public services; And in continuing education, through courses, workshops and seminars, health professionals in the municipal network can update themselves and improve their skills, guaranteeing a higher quality service to the population.
