Water quality is a fundamental factor in its multiple uses and studies that consider the basin as a unit of evaluation allow to infer about the characteristics of the spring and its environment. The objective of this study was to evaluate the water quality of Queima Pé creek through indicators indicating water quality. For this, samples of water near the exudation of the basin of this creek were collected, which were submitted to the physical, chemical and microbiological analyzes to determine quality indices. The collection was carried out in mid-October 2016 at the end of the dry season where the level of the spring is low and possibly with a higher concentration of contaminants. Chromium, Nickel, Zinc, Mercury, Phenols, Surfactants, Total Phosphorus, Total Nitrogen, pH, Biochemical Oxygen Demand, Dissolved Oxygen, Total Residue, Turbidity, Temperature and Fecal Coliforms were determined. The water quality index (IQA), the Trophic State Index (IET) and the Index of Protection of Aquatic Life (IVA) were calculated. The results point to water classified as Good (IQA), Bad (IVA) and Mesotrophic (IET). It was concluded that, in relation to the indices evaluated, the water of Queima Pé presents indicative of pollution by domestic, industrial and agricultural effluents.
