The urban land regularization (Reurb) aims to guarantee the right to property, cooperating for the realization of the social function, right to the city and right to adequate housing. In this sense, this article aims to study the contributions of urban land regularization to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). To this end, it monitored and collaborated with the Urban Land Regularization under execution at the Vale do Pitimbu Housing Complex, from 2018 to 2021, through a partnership between the Housing and Urban Development Company of Rio Grande do Norte (CEHAB ) and the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA); The association of the Reurb precepts and the information its products offer with what the SDGs recommend was carried out. It was found that Reurb helps in the promotion of the SDGs as it diagnoses the problems that exist in the different spheres of the centers in operation; prepares improvement projects and suggests urban and environmental adjustments; it promotes quality of life based on property security and inclusion of urban centers in the formal city. Thus, Reurb needs to be stimulated and implemented, especially in localities that are home to the low-income population, which have greater vulnerabilities and therefore urgently require the realization of the SDGs.
