This study has the aim of evaluating the Peri Lake as a potential bank filtration (BF) site. Based on a previous hydrogeological field investigations in the area, a groundwater modelling (Processing MODFLOW) was used to simulated different pumping rates at different hydraulic conditions in the potential catchment area of the lake. Under natural hydraulic conditions, Peri Lake behaves as losing water body. Sangradouro channel is fed not only by the lake, but also by the aquifer. When a pumping rate of 100 L s-1 is simulated, drawdowns of 0,75 m.a.s.l. and -1,25 m.u.s.l. were observed under the best and worst hydraulic conditions in the lake and channel, respectively. When a pumping rate of 200 L s-1 is simulated drawdowns reached -1,50 m.u.s.l. under the best hydraulic conditions, and -4,0 m.u.s.l. under the worst hydraulic condition. In both scenarios infiltration rates at the bank of the lake and in the channel remained at sustainable levels, in the view of clogging caused by hydrodynamics forces.
