This work presents the project of a technology commonly called Ecological Shower. The shower was designed to be installed on the sand of the coastal beach, where, through the manual activation of a lever, the water from the water table is captured and pumped for bathers to use. In the shower there is a chlorine compartment for water disinfection, which proved to be efficient in assessing the water quality of 7 showers installed along the coast of Paraná, 4 of them in the municipality of Matinhos and 3 in Pontal do Paraná. The water quality parameters evaluated in this work were pH, turbidity, chlorine, total coliforms and Escherichia coli. The analyzes were carried out during the summer 2017-2018. The shower design presented in this work pumps 1.96 L of water from the water table to each complete actuation of the plunger. With a water flow sensor installed in one of the showers, the volume of 722 L of water pumped in one afternoon of use was recorded, showing the importance of this technology for reducing water consumption in the public supply network of the coastlines, which generally reaches its maximum limit in high season periods due to the increase in the number of people who attend them.
