This manuscript aims to contribute to listing the main tools and trends of industry 4.0 (I4.0) applied in the textile sector in a sustainable way, in order to encourage a discussion on a relevant research topic. The textile industry is one of the world's largest sources of economic growth and industrial pollution, and sustainable issues are becoming an increasing concern. Therefore, I4.0 comes with technological alternatives in order to positively impact the manufacturing industry. A literature review was carried out using the systematic review technique. The selected results indicated the categorization of 03 main trends and their impacts applying sustainability in the textile industry. Among these, we can mention: (1) circular economy and sustainable production; (2) blockchain and supply chain; and (3) I4.0 tools applied in the textile industry. However, it is concluded that this article seeks to serve as an access and visibility tool for possible implementations of sustainable innovations in the textile industry in Brazil.
