Bibliometric study of the main organizational theories published on brazilian privatization

Organizational theories have achieved advances in various public organizations, seeking to understand and explain the complexity involved in these relationships. The objective of this article is to carry out a bibliometric study on the organizational theories most used in scientific production about Brazilian public privatizations of the authors who contributed most on the subject, using the Web of Science database. This is an applied research, whose research objective is to be descriptive and uses a mixed approach, that is, quantitative and qualitative using the content analysis technique. The results indicated that the most cited organizational theories were Public Choice Theory and Institutional Theory, the author with the most publications is Rui Cunha Marques, the most used keywords were Privatization and Brazil, the country that published the most was the United States (USA), among the 20 research institutions that contributed the most, only 6 are Brazilian, the scientific journal that published the most was Humanidades & Inovação, the year 2020 stands out with the most publications, the Web of Science category in which the works most fit was economics, and finally, the predominant language in publications is English.
