The interdisciplinarity of the biologist profession

Abstract

The objective of this work is to discuss and analyze the work already published about the profession of biologist. This is a bibliographic review based on selected articles in Google Scholar. The studies found on the profession of biologist found that due to the multidisciplinary training of the biologist, this professional has been finding more space in the labor market, covering several biological areas, which consequently compete with other professionals with more specific training, such as biomedical, biochemical And veterinarians. Biologists play a fundamental role in society at large by taking on the responsibility of critical mind trainers and the advancement of science by carrying out studies and discoveries that assist in maintaining life in the ecosystem.

Larissa Leonilda Pereira Melo, Faculdade Guaraí

Tem experiência em atuação no setor administrativo em empresas, organização empresarial e gestão de pessoas.

Aluísio Vasconcelos Carvalho, Faculdade Guaraí

Biólogo, especialista em Educação Ambiental e Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Análises Clínicas e Microbiologia, mestre em Ciências do Ambiente, doutorando em Engenharia Biomédica (Universidade Brasil). Tem experiência na área de Educação ambiental,manejo de animais silvestres, parasitologia, entomologia médica e saúde pública. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto do IESC/Faculdade Guaraí, membro do Grupo de Pesquisa Quelônios e Crocodilianos da Região Norte-CROQUE da Universidade Federal do Tocantins e Liga Acadêmica de Estudos Ecológicos e Doenças Tropicais-ECOTROP do CEULP/ULBRA, membro do Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa Humana (CEP) da Universidade Federal do Tocantins.

Ana Paula Martins Guimarães, Faculdade Guaraí

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Fundação Universidade Federal do Tocantins, modalidade licenciatura (2012) e bacharel (2017); Mestre em Ecologia de Ecótonos pela Fundação Universidade Federal do Tocantins, com linha de pesquisa em Microbiologia Ambiental e Ecologia de leveduras, modalidade Stricto sensu (2016). Atualmente, Professora Adjunto do Instituto Educacional Santa Catarina/Faculdade Guaraí (IESC/FAG) e Professora Regente de Ciências e Biologia nos Ensinos Fundamental e Médio na Escola Estadual Girassol de Tempo Integral Major Juvenal. Experiência na área de Ecologia, com ênfase em Ecologia de leveduras, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: microbiologia (geral, dos alimentos e ambiental), ecologia, biologia celular e biologia molecular.
