Informational mapping as a support for formulation quality indicators

This article sought to evaluate from the perspective of information management the way quality indicators are built, based on information inherent to all areas of the analyzed company and also conducting a discussion about the use of information in the processes of quality management. Under this perspective a case study was performed using the method of non-participatory observation that provided the mapping of information in a company providing port services in Paranaguá. The research resulted in the mapping of information used in the construction of indicators, systems involved in the process, organization and storage methods and finally the distribution and use of information in the process of quality indicators development.
