This research analyzed the incidence of cases of Repetitive Strain Injury - RSI/Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disease - WRMSD in the municipality of Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, from social security records between 2008 and 2018. This is exploratory research with a qualitative and quantitative approach using descriptive statistics techniques. Data collection occurred with the municipal executive management of the INSS in consultation with the SUIBE (Unified System of Information on Benefits) e-SiC (Electronic System of the Citizen Information Service) systems. During the analyzed period, there was an increase in RSI/WRMSD cases in the municipality, totaling 599 accidents, mainly in 2014, reaching about 100 occurrences. It was concluded that the high incidence of occupational diseases serves as an alert for the adoption of public policies aimed at promoting workers' health that can guarantee decent working conditions.
