Intestinal parasites are a serious public health problem in Brazil and are widely distributed throughout the country. This study is characterized as a descriptive transversal-observation study and aimed to analyze data collected on positive results of stool tests in two health centers in different regions of the city of Rondonópolis, in the state of Mato Grosso. Data were selected from the database provided by the city's Central Laboratory, exams referring to the year 2018. The data were processed using the Microsoft Office Excell 2010 Software and the variables analyzed were: age, sex, type of parasite found and collection period. Of the 259 results analyzed, the prevalence occurred in the age group comprising children aged 0 to 12 years, with no significant difference between males and females. The protozoan Endolimax nana was the most recorded, followed by Entamoeba coli and Giardia lamblia. There were situations of biparasitism with associations, mostly related to E. coli. The first months of the year proved to be the most favorable for the appearance of parasites. The importance of good sanitary and health conditions is endorsed in order to have an effective control of these diseases, which can be achieved through actions aimed at improving basic sanitation and generating health and therapeutic awareness.
