Water resources management: study about environmental practice adopted by a textile industry

The water crisis expression has been used to refer to the set of events that lead to water scarcity and the extent of risk of this problem for other regions. The management of water resources is intended to equate and solve the shortages and promote the use of properly for the benefit of its users, which enables the benefits companies not only environmental and economic. Therefore, this study aims to diagnose the management of water resources through environmental practices in a Santa Catarina textile industry. The methodology of the aims it is explanatory, and on the approach to the problem, it is qualitative. To achieve the goal, first applied a questionnaire to identify the environmental practices related to water resources in the production process of a textile industry, where the analysis shows that 52.94% of the items proposed in the questionnaire are not covered by the company. In the second questionnaire may have been aware of why the company adopts this practice in which the 12 items proposed, 41.67% were rated at level 4. Then there are the levels 5 and 02, which achieved the same dial number, representing 25% each. Finally, it has level 3, with 8.33%. It follows then the need to adopt more environmental practices focused on water resource management.
