The present work consists of analyzing the data of hotspots and land use and cover between the years 2010 to 2020 for the municipality of Viseu/PA. The hotspot data were acquired in the shapefile format of the present satellites: NOAA 12 and AQUA_M-T. Land use and land cover data were obtained using the Mapbiomas program. Regarding the hotspots for the average of the years studied, it was observed that, in almost the entire extension of the municipality, it was covered by hotspots. In the entire period studied (2010 to 2020) there was an increase in hotspots. From the data collected, it was possible to identify that approximately 80% of the hotspots occurred in the North and South of the city of Viseu/PA. With the increase in livestock and agriculture in these areas, it is necessary to maintain environmental monitoring systems such as those of INPE, with security and clarity, in order to contribute to measures for the management of natural resources. In this sense, the results achieved in the present study help to prevent and fight forest fires and changes in land use and cover, thus creating subsidies for possible mechanisms and public policies aimed at territorial planning.
