Abstract

Heritage Education is a way to bring information from architecture to society through education, teaching and demonstration of works and physical spaces, of a history of a particular place, the EP is placed in the educational plan as an intermediary, facilitating interpretations cultural assets, becoming an important instrument for the promotion, enhancement and preservation of cultural heritage. in this way, the context was inserted in the city of Monte do Carmo – TO, it is one of the oldest cities in the State of Tocantins, 89 kilometers from the state capital, Palmas. The municipality, with an estimated population of seven thousand inhabitants, is located in the central region of the state. This academic project aims to develop, directly and indirectly, the education of elementary school children about the heritage education of the architecture of the city of Monte do Carmo - TO, in a perspective based on technique and studies of the present academic. It is justified by the historical foundation of the city being culturally rich and with an architectural cradle very present in the ancient monuments, being the city of Monte do Carmo - TO, within the architectural cultural attractions, based on the school as a source of learning. It has a methodological research base, it has a pure or basic research of a bibliographic review, with a qualitative and exploratory research function.
