Over the years water bodies have constantly suffered with impacts due to uncontrolled populational growth, climate change, and demands from industry. Thus, it is paramount to seek for technological solutions that strive for the environmental quality of water resources, given the extreme importance of water to life on planet Earth. In order to mitigate negative impacts over the environment, the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) presents itself as an efficient strategy, due to its versatility and relevance. In this sense, the present work started from the documental investigation conducted in “Tratamento de Efluentes da Indústria de Bebidas em Reator Anaeróbio e Circulação Interna (IC)” (SANTOS et al., 2013), with the objective of developing an Environmental Impact Matrix following Barbosa et al. (2008), culminating with an analysis of the presented impacts according to CONAMA 001/86 Resolution. It was found that the physical environment was the most severely impacted by the activities described on the aforementioned article. The implementation of Environmental Plans and Programs was proposed as means to mitigate the impacts surveyed.
