This work aimed to analyze and discuss aspects related to the conservation status of the Collembola class, with emphasis on the order Entomobryomorpha. It was found that the orders Entomobryomorpha (n = 144), and Poduromorpha (n = 110) are the most representative in relation to the number of species evaluated, followed by Symphypleona (n = 54), and Neelipleona (n = 02). With regard to Entomobryomorpha, a total of 312 species are listed. These were mostly evaluated in the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) categories, respectively, in Least Concern - LC (n = 139), Insufficient Data - DD (n = 09), Vulnerable - VU (n = 03), Critically Endangered - CR (n = 02) and Not Applicable - NA (n = 01). Important data show the need for more studies and investigations in the context of taxonomy, ecology and conservation for the group, especially when taking into account the tiny number of specialties and the high number of species to be eliminated in Brazil and in the world.
