Abstract

This article aims to analyze the reflexes resulting from the increasing increase of corruption and the prevalence of private interest over the public in the definition of public policies, as well as in how to govern themselves. Although such a discussion is grounded in the public sphere, we are constantly surprised by its occurrence in other sectors of society. Therefore, even if we make the necessary references to the private sector, due to the historical contextualization of the concept, we will analyze corporate governance from the public sector point of view. To this end, the theme of corporate governance will be studied here, a concept that arose precisely because of deviations in administrative conduct in the corporate world. The relevance of the theme is the importance of corporate governance in avoiding deviations, whether in the public or private sphere. It was adopted as a methodology in the research, a comparative study between the legal and operational aspects that permeate the Municipal Environmental Conservation Fund (FCA) and the concepts and principles of corporate governance. The comparative study was the methodology used to demonstrate the data and information that will support this discussion. Thus, it appears the need for reflections in order to provide subsidies to the current discussion and to undertake new actions that aim to discuss and analyze the principles and modes of applicability of corporate governance, their effectiveness and efficiency, in translating benefits to companies. and society in general and, especially, to public management, given the current political-financial scenario in which contemporary decision-making processes are inserted.
