Public Management and Governance from the Web of Science Platform: Bibliometric analysis on the theme

The most diverse scientific activities can be evaluated from their literature through the scientific basis of the bibliometric study, which aims to statistically present the importance of the most varied forms of world scientific productions, being a scientific basis method, which presents as results the quality and quantity of information sources - books, journals, scientific literature themes, etc. As a data source for bibliographic studies, there are computational bases from which data can be extracted for bibliometric studies. For this work, the Web of Science (WoS) database was used. This study aims to perform, through statistical procedures and methods, the categorization of the quality and quantity of the most diverse academic studies on public management and governance from the WoS database, which extracted data related to Public Management and Governance for the 1988-2018 time series - series chosen for the 30 years of the Brazilian Federal Constitution, the 'Citizen Constitution'. The contribution of this study is to present to society a base of academic studies that consider new proposals and / or paradigms for a new public management format that is more strongly aligned with the principles of governance, aiming to ensure a better effectiveness in the actions of the public power. in meeting the most diverse social demands that are becoming more complex every day.
