Recruitment and selection: an analysis of the challenges of inserting young people into the post-pandemic job market in Manaus, Amazonas

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the world underwent drastic changes in a short time and consequently the job market also changed. There are models of new economic relations and means of entering the market. New forms of methodology to attract young people were developed, new recruitment and selection tools emerged to help companies and young people in search of new opportunities. Professional growth and job search are the concerns of young people in the post-pandemic world, however, the interview scenarios and requirements of a company can also become a difficult factor. Due to current conditions, this article seeks to understand and analyze the advances and changes that have occurred in the current scenario, after the pandemic in the city of Manaus, seeking to understand from the perspective of young people who are active and looking for a job, how these changes occurred, what challenges they encounter when trying to join and how recruiters analyze the environment and choose new employees. However, the study results in 124 interviews, of which they present 17 questions in a questionnaire and the reports of people are of different ages, ethnicities, genders, and different areas of work. Most people had obstacles when entering the market. The most predisposing factor is lack of experience and lack of opportunity.
