REUNI was implemented in 2008 and was one of the government programs that aimed at expanding the access to higher education, a result of civil society’s demands for better conditions. This paper proposes to analyze the achievement of the goals of the REUNI from quantitative and qualitative indicators comparing before the implementation of the REUNI with the years after the beginning of the program. For this, indicators such as number of vacancies, enrollments, graduates, professors, technicians, and courses over the years for a comparative analysis were studied. The results showed an improvement. It is noteworthy that the data collected do not present a methodology of how they were treated.
