The objective of this study was to evaluate the maturity of projects in the municipalities of Ritápolis, Dores de Campos and Resende Costa. Therefore, it was done a qualitative descriptive and analytical research, of an applied nature. Regarding the purposes, this study developed an initial understanding of the Prado-MMGP model by evaluating the practice of project management in the urban works and services sectors of four municipalities: Dores de Campos, Santana do Garambéu, Resende Costa and Ritápolis. The results demonstrated that the final maturity assessment of the urban works and services sector could be considered between regular and good for the municipalities Dores de Campos and Ritápolis, and the dimension with the greatest adherence was Technical Competence in Project Management. On the other hand, Santana do Garambéu and Resende Costa had a low final score of 2.29 and 2.26, respectively, and had greater adherence, albeit relatively low, in the Technical and Contextual Competence dimension.
