Rejections of requests for registration of trademarks in the state of Pará, according to the industrial property law

In recent years, a considered number of trademark registration applications filed by holders from Pará has been rejected by the INPI, just as examples, in 2018 there were 1,126 applications filed, in the same period, there were 702 denials, which represents about 62 %, a very high price that can be made in registration not only acquired, but also to the supplier and consumer. In this sense, a survey was carried out, specifically with the processes filed by holders based in Pará, in the last 5 years (2016 to 2020) and that were unwanted by the federal autarchy, with the objective of identifying the main reasons that generated these denials. Therefore, after the appropriate assessments relevant to the case, actions that can help and modify this scenario. At the same time, also if they themselves are those that were mandatory and were carried out through attorneys. At the end of the reference article, lack of research, article of requests for failure in procedures regarding the vast majority of items124, were the main reasons for resolution by the large number of items of mandatory registration by holders of Pará and that, the vast majority of these processes rejected, were carried out by attorneys who, in theory, created extensive knowledge about the definition that deals with the subject.
