The Atlantic Forest today is considered the most devastated area of native vegetation in Brazil. It is one of the five most diverse biomes in the world. Studies on the microclimate of tropical forests help in understanding how this biome has been suffering from climate change. The overall objective of this work was to analyze global solar radiation (Rg) and surface albedo in an Amazon Forest ecosystem during the rainy and dry period in the municipality of Coruripe-Al. Data for the period from May to August / 2014 were used. For the calculation of the albedo, the ratio between global reflected and incident solar radiation was used. Appropriate software was used to set up the database, calculations of hourly-daily, hourly-monthly, annual, monthly, daily and plotting of the respective graphs. The annual rainfall in the Mata was 11.4% higher than the normal climatological. The rainfall accumulated in the rainy season was practically equal to that of the climatological normal for the region. The average Rg values for the rainy season were 388.7; 386.7; 414.1 and 448.5 W.m-² and for the dry period were 549.4; 582.1; 569.4 and 544.7 W.m-² respectively. The albedo ranged from 12.7% to 17.0% in the rainy season and from 14.1% to 18.0% in the dry season.
